The working hours after the working hours. I swear I think the time between 5pm and 10pm is set to warp speed - maybe even more so in the fall/winter months. “Off work” and scooping up Charlie, home to change into farm clothes, grab a snack and the gator, then out to the field we go. It’s a mad dash to fill up buckets, feed each group and get a headcount, look for any health concerns or anything just out of whack, and count the new babies all before dark. Then it’s to the barn to check the pigs, bow before the unicorns and apologize for our tardiness, and top it all off with feeding the finishing pasture. 😍😍😍😍 A little photo session to test run, grab content, and take the chance to dance in our own flower fields last night. Boy am I not disappointed 😍🥰. I’ve always heard you can judge a man by the size of the smile on his wife’s face - and though we can really drive each other nuts sometimes (😂🤪), this guy is as golden as they come. I mean.. just look at him 😍🔥. This summer has really tested my limits. Personally, physically, emotionally, and financially. But when we can step back and breathe to see the big picture, and dance our way through a fun photo session, I can’t help but feel so abundantly blessed. We’ll go to bed sore, exhausted, mentally fried, and a little on the dehydrated side, but tomorrow morning we’ll wake before the sun (which honestly should be outlawed) and do it all over again.
